This West Village rental is wall-to-wall windows
What does it cost these days to live large in the West Village? A monthly nut that's equivalent to most entry-level publishing salaries, it would seem. But in spite of its eye-popping $29,000/month price tag, we're fairly smitten with this two-bedroom that just came on the market in the West Village.
In a neighborhood better known for its quaint historic buildings, this two-bedroom—with its high ceilings and wrap-around, floor-to-ceiling windows—is a glassy departure from the norm. Though admittedly, it might not be to everyone's tastes (prewar buffs, avert your eyes):

The property is furnished (and filled to the brim with "fine art," per the listing) and available for short-term rentals, so it seems geared towards the pied-a-terre crowd. And as with many apartments for wealthy visitors, the kitchen is tiny compared to the rest of the spread. The master bedroom, however, features two walk-in closets and a posh bathroom:

As for the rest of the building, perks include a 24-hour doorman, concierge service, a fitness center with a lap pool, and a screening room. What do you think: Worth it if you're wealthy and headed to town for a short stay, or would you rather save your money for a down payment?
