Here are the NYC apartments for sale with the deepest price chops in September
  • The number of Manhattan sellers who cut asking prices jumped last month
  • The Upper East Side-Carnegie Hill led the list with 201 price drops
Manhattan saw a substantial increase in the number of sellers who reduced their listing prices lasts month, according to RealtyHop's monthly report.
The Upper East Side-Carnegie Hill saw the most price cuts, with 201 drops, an increase from 104 cuts previously. The Upper West Side-Lincoln Square saw the second-most level of cuts with 141 drops, an increase from 93 last month. The other top five neighborhoods were also all in Manhattan with 114 to 135 drops.
In its monthly price drop report, RealtyHop identifies neighborhoods with the highest total number of price cuts. It also highlights areas with the largest percentage drop in median price, and the largest median dollar price drop.
A four-bedroom, five-bath condo in Lenox Hill saw the biggest dollar price drop with a $5,500,000 cut to $22,000,000. The apartment with the largest percentage price cut was a three-bedroom, three-bath co-op in the Theater District with a 45 percent cut to $1,100,000.
