Staten Island properties asking under $600,000 hosting open houses this weekend
Curious about what's in Staten Island? Actual houses, for one, and apartments that offer more for your money, as long as you don't mind a daily commute by car or the ferry. A new development in St. George near the ferry terminal is also bringing new energy—as well as lots of retail and commercial options, plus a massive "observation wheel"—to the borough. Here, some properties for those looking to make a move:
1988 Arthur Kill Road. A two-bedroom, one-and-a-half-bath in the Huguenot section of the island. Asking price: $367,666. Open house: Saturday, June 11, 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm, by appointment only.
172 Potter Avenue. This nearly 1300-square-foot home has four bedrooms, one bathroom, and a full basement, and is located in the Castleton Corners section of the island. Asking price: $495,000. Open house: Saturday, June 11, 12 noon to 2 pm.
23 Alex Circle. Tucked into an enclave known as South Beach, this three-bedroom, three-bath comes with a finished lower level and a washer and dryer. Asking price: $585,000. Open house: Saturday, June 11, 12 noon to 3 pm.
