Here are the NYC apartments for sale with the deepest price chops in March
Manhattan sellers dropped their listing prices a bit more in March as the market started to see more activity, according to a recent RealtyHop report.
Once again, Turtle Bay-East Midtown saw the most price drops, with 154 cuts, up from 143 in February. The Upper East Side-Carnegie Hill area also took the second spot again, with a jump to 150 price drops, compared to 134 previously. All of the other neighborhoods with the most price cuts were also in Manhattan.
In its monthly price drop report, RealtyHop identifies neighborhoods with the highest total number of price cuts. It also highlights areas with the biggest percentage drop in median price, and the biggest median dollar price drop.
The listing that saw the biggest dollar price drop was a Beaux-Arts style townhouse on the Upper East Side, 8 East 62nd St., which saw a $10,000,000, or 15 percent, drop to $55,000,000. The apartment with the highest percentage price drop was two-bedroom condo in the Financial Distrcit, which saw a 48 percent cut to $2,200,000. A Jamaica, Queens house and a Bronx three-family building also made the list of biggest percentage price drops.

This six-bedroom, four-plus bath townhouse saw a price drop of $10,000,000 to $55,000,000. The Beaux-Arts style building features high ceilings, recessed lighting, mosaic floors, wood-burning fireplaces, moldings, stainless steel appliances, a wet bar, library with built-in bookshelves, a Creston system, water filtration system, security, and an indoor pool.
