By now, we're used to cookie-cutter style new developments. You know the ones: Glass boxes with history that goes as far back as, say, 2014. But this two-bedroom, two-bath in Greenpoint caught our attention because, while it's also brand new, it was built in the style of an old warehouse, to reflect the Brooklyn neighborhood's industrial past (which seems to be sinking further and further into the past, as new condos and rental developments like these become more common).

Located on a two-block stretch called Box Street, the architects took the box concept and ran with it (see photo above). Apartment 2E (a one-bedroom) is available for a net effective rent of $2,746 (with one month free) and no broker's fee. Pictured here is the model apartment, but you'll get the gist: The apartments have open kitchens with stainless appliances, private washers and dryers, and central air conditioning.

Amenities in the building—which is being brokered by Citi Habitats—include a roof deck with Manhattan and Brooklyn views, an elevator, bicycle storage, on-site parking and a virtual doorman system.

Just take note: To live here you'll probably be relying on the G train, so make sure that works for you ... and your commute.
