The median rent in Queens for the third quarter of this year was $1,991 a month, according to a new market report from StreetEasy. That's cheaper than Brooklyn's $2,460, but still an all-time high for the borough. For an idea of what's out there, here are five apartments across “The World’s Borough” that can be yours for around $2,000.

62-83 60th St. Ridgewood

This one bedroom, one bath (also shown at top) has hardwood floors, stone counters and stainless steel appliances in the kitchen. The bathroom has subway tiles, and there's a private balcony.
