NYC beats free housing in CT, studio rents still low, & more
This week readers visited Brick Underground to read about a couple who moved from rural Connecticut to New York City. They gave up their free housing at the boarding school where they taught in exchange for big city amenities. Now they're living in a Yorkville two bedroom within walking distance of museums, parks, and shopping.
Also of interest: Manhattan's rental market is seeing a lot of activity, however rents have not rebounded completely to prepandemic levels. Studios in particular saw a larger annual decline in median rent last month compared to other apartment sizes, according to the Elliman Report.
