This past summer, I installed temporary wallpaper in my Ditmas Park one-bedroom, and rejoiced at how easy, cheap and removable it truly was. Well, it seems there is an even easier, cheaper and similarly removable way to jazz up the walls of your rental. Introducing the fabric wall treatment, via Design*Sponge.
Apparently, with a few yards of natural fiber fabric, a bottle of liquid starch, a rotary cutter and a couple of other items you likely have lying around the kitchen, you can make your own temporary “wallpaper.” All you have to do is measure and cut the fabric; douse it with liquid starch; stick it to a clean, smooth-ish wall; and let it dry in place. The fabric purportedly stays until you peel it off when you’re ready to move (or change up the pattern).
