If midcentury modern is your thing, you probably are familiar with New Canaan, Connecticut, home to Philip Johnson's famous Glass House, among many other modern gems. But if you're on the market for one of these homes yourself — and gawking alone won't do — you're going to find it hard to top the Wiley House, also designed by Johnson but restored and expanded by Roger Ferris + Partners. The house, which is being sold by William Pitt Julia B. Fee Sotheby's International Realty, has four bedrooms and five bathrooms. The asking price: $14 million.

The house has a double-height glass pavilion, with a living room and subtly hidden galley kitchen. The slope of the land means that the lower-level rooms (which happen to have marble floors) have full views of the over-six-acre property.

There's also a pretty neat-looking circular vintage swimming pool with an original diving pad that's identical to the one at Glass House.

But it's not all vintage. There's a new pool house and a reconstructed barn serving as an art gallery at the moment? (The current residents seem to have quite the art collection.) We could probably think of 100 other things to do with that barn, too.
