Reminiscent of European cathedrals and basilicas, vaulted ceilings are actually rather popular in high-end NYC apartments, where they come in all different styles and materials. Aside from lending a place some charm, they make a space appear bigger and more opennot that these dwellings need any tricks to look large.
We've never seen vaulted ceilings quite like the ones above the dining area in this $2.925 million Upper West Side penthouse. They're made of fabric. How cool is that?
