The Open House Scorecard: Seventieth Heaven
Apartments in the East and West 70s drew a lot of attention this week, with a trio of apartments there making this edition of the Open House Scorecard--the 10 open houses those perusing StreetEasy this weekend saved to their open-house calendars more often than any others.
Take in Lenox Hill from the private terrace (pictured) of a $1.695m three-bedroom, two-bathroom postwar co-op on East 70th Street (between First and Second Avenues). The thoroughly renovated corner unit is located on a tree-lined block in a full service building that offers a storage room, bike storage, a discounted garage, a common roof deck and a common laundry room. The apartment itself has an L-Shaped living room/dining area leading into the kitchen. Pets are allowed, but in-unit washer-dryers are not.
On the Upper East Side, on the corner of East 78th Street and Third Avenue, you’ll find a west-facing two-bedroom, two-bathroom co-op on the market for $950k. Located in a postwar doorman building, the apartment features an L-shaped living room, and the dining area is currently being used as a third bedroom, but can be reconverted. There’s a walk-in closet and en-suite master bath, but the apartment needs some TLC.
Over on the Upper West Side, on 77th Street, is an $875k two-bedroom, two-bathroom condo with a washer-dryer, built-ins and overhead storage, as well as a Murphy bed, which all help save on space. Located between Columbus and Amsterdam Avenues on Museum Block, the building has a new roof deck and hallways, bike storage and a central laundry room. One downside: it’s a three-flight walk-up.
