One-bedrooms in each of the five boroughs for under $400,000
$400,000 would easily buy you a house in other parts of the country, but in much of New York City at the moment, that amount will more realistically get you a one bedroom.
Here are five one-bedrooms, one from each of the five boroughs, that are currently listed for less than $400,000. The apartments are of all shapes and vintages, and in locations you may not have yet considered if your apartment search is confined to a particular area.

It’s listed for $359,000. Maintenance is $786 a month.
