Loft style and lots of light in this two-bedroom "Glass House" condo
The Glass House, a boutique Greenpoint condominium built in 2015, is so named for its oversized windows, and this super-contemporary two-bedroom, one-bath seems to benefit from the design.
A wall of glass fills the loft-like space—the ceilings are 17 feet—with sun, highlighting its gleaming floors, fixtures, and appliances. Listed by Citi Habitats for $1.15 million, the apartment's price is right on target for the neighborhood, judging by a StreetEasy search. Just remember that in a couple years, the nearby G train will likely be flooded with passengers impacted by the L shutdown.
In the bright living room, the suspended lighting fixtures lend an industrial edge to the sleekness. The open kitchen has room enough for a dining area, plus upscale appliances and a solid amount of storage space. The floating staircase, a striking design element, brings you to a mezzanine, which serves as a semi-private office nook.

The two bedrooms look a bit narrow, and don't have the double-height ceiling of the living area, but do benefit from plenty of natural light; they also have large closets. The bathroom is striking with stone tile and an unusual wooden vanity.
A private balcony off the living area, plus additional storage, adds some volume to the somewhat petite apartment. There's also a washer and dryer in the unit, and building amenities include a furnished roof deck with grills, plus a gym and, especially appealing, garage parking.
