Live the dream: Brooklyn houses for under $2 million open for visits this weekend
Pining for a house in Brooklyn feels almost cliché. To which we say: So what? There’s a reason it’s become shorthand. But a house in Brooklyn for under two million? As it appears, not such a dream, after all. These properties are all hosting open houses this weekend, and with price tags that — by New York standards, anyway — don’t seem painfully out of reach.
505 Vandervoort Avenue, Greenpoint. A two-family currently used as a single-family with a deck that leads to a pretty yard, hardwood floors and a 1000-square-foot basement. Asking price: $1.199 million. Open house: Saturday, June 13, 1 pm to 2 pm and Sunday, June 14, 1 pm to 2 pm.
