It feels like the Hamptons, but it's commuting distance from Manhattan
In case you didn't know, Orienta Point is a beach community that looks a lot like the Hamptons or Newport, Rhode Island, but is actually part of Mamaroneck, a Westchester suburb that's commutable to, and from, the city.
And this particular housea four-bedroom, four-and-a-half-bath cedar shingle contemporary at 1055 Seven Oaks Lane—is on nearly a half-acre, just 100 yards from the beach and the Long Island Sound. And there are water views from all three levels, and terraces, too.
The house, situated on a cul-de-sac, has been recently renovated and features bamboo floors, custom millwork, 10-foor ceilings, and geothermal heating.
The living room features a gas fireplace, and the dining room is separated by French doors. The kitchen has sleek cabinets, granite counters, high-end appliances, and a center island.

There's also a customized wood-paneled office with a desk for two, a butler's pantry with Caesarstone counters, two powder rooms, mudroom, and a five-car garage.
A custom bamboo staircase leads to the second-floor sleeping quarters and to a top-floor roofdeck with panoramic vistas.
The master suite comes with two terraces, a spa bathroom, four walk-in closets, and a maplewood-paneled library. Three additional bedrooms and a fourth bedroom, currently used as an office/family room, are on the same level.
That's not all: The lower level has another family room with a fireplace, game room, gym, and a wine cellar that will fit over 900 bottles.
Yearly taxes are nearly $86,000, though, so make sure you can afford to add that on top of your monthly mortgage payments. On the plus side: The house, which is being sold by Houlihan Lawrence, recently saw a $500,000 price cut, and is now asking $2,999,999.
