Autumn sales: Hunting for a two-bedroom? These apartments have just seen price cuts
For those of you in the market to buy a two-bedroom, here's some good news: Now's the time of year that NYC sellers seriously want to offload their apartments—they're the so-called "motivated sellers"—before the holiday slump starts. Sometimes that means they'll even offer discounts, especially if the apartment's been on the market for a while. Below, five two-bedroom apartments across Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens and the Bronx that have seen serious discounts in the last few weeks.
This $2.295 million two-bedroom, two-bath loft at 59 Fourth Avenue, between Ninth and Tenth Streets has a home office and double heights ceilings. It's been on the market since the end of June and, earlier this month, saw its asking sliced by 10 percent.

When it went on the market in July, this two-bedroom, one-and-a-half bath, first-floor duplex in Crown Heights had a $1.25 million price tag. Flash forward a couple of months and the asking price is now under the mansion-tax-requiring million-dollar mark: $995,000.

This two-bedroom, one-bath sponsor unit in an elevator building in the Fieldston section of the Bronx has had some major discounts levied since going on the market at the beginning of August. The price has been slashed almost 50 percent to $145,000. You'd be hard-pressed to find a better deal in the five boroughs.
This two-bedroom, one-bath in Jackson Heights, Queens has a dining room and eat-in kitchen, though the whole place could use some updating. It looks like the place went into contract earlier this year, but then back on the market for 15 percent less just yesterday. The asking price now is $199,000.
