It's a little challenging to call any apartment asking over $1 million as affordable, but put into context, this one just might fit the bill. After all, a two-bedroom at this price range in a coveted neighborhood like the Upper West Side is increasingly a unicorn, especially one that doesn't skimp on amenities.
This two-bedroom, one-bath in a circa-1925 co-op is asking a bit north of that—$1.095 million, to be precise. (It's repped by Halstead Property.) That's about $55,000 less than the most recent Manhattan median asking price.

The combination living-dining room is fairly roomy—see above—and bright, as are the bedrooms, both of which appear to have open city views.

The kitchen looks to have been recently updated, is neat and tidy, and has stainless steel appliances, but anyone hoping for a thoroughly swank finish may need to update. Perhaps, the price reflects the need for a bigger makeover? (The listing also offers an alternate floorplan for those who want to do away with a study adjacent to one of the rooms.)
Old-school co-ops don't often include condo-like amenities, but this building offers some: storage, a children's playspace that would do quite nicely on snowy or rainy days, and a fitness center that's actually fairly well-equipped.
As always, we encourage you to do your due diligence, but for potential Upper West Siders looking to be a just a block or two away from Central Park, this may be worth a look.
