A three-bedroom co-op for under $600,000 that doesn't need work (yes, the price is not a typo)
You'll be forgiven for thinking the price of this charming classic-six co-op with three bedrooms and two baths, a Wohlfarth & Associates listing, to be a mistake. It's hard to find a three-bedroom these days for under $600,000, especially one that doesn't need a complete overhaul. The living room (above) is gracious and spacious. So is the dining area, which has ample room for hosting a dinner party.
It's not ultra-luxe by any means, but the apartment looks to have been refreshed (the kitchen, too!), while retaining period details that add character and charm, like crown moldings, hardwood floors, and chair railings.

Yes, the property's in Riverdale, not exactly the most happening of the city's neighborhoods. No wonder the asking price mirrors nothing like any three-bedroom in Manhattan. (For the sticklers: technically, it's in Spuyten Duyvil, which some say is an area of its own, and others say folds into Riverdale.) But it's leafy, pretty and has three modes of public transportation—the subway, buses, and Metro-North—that funnel residents to central parts of Manhattan.
The apartment complex, a Tudor-style structure, also feels like it's from another, more genteel time and place.
