A Sunset Park two bedroom with prewar charm, if you don't mind bars on some windows
Looking for a prewar two bedroom close to some green space and the subway? Check out 4407 Fourth Ave., #A1, in Sunset Park. Listed for $529,000 with a maintenance of $675, the apartment has nice features, like high ceilings, natural light, moldings, and hardwood floors. (A feature we're not crazy about: the bars on the windows.)
The living and dining area is open concept, with lots of room for a dining table.
The kitchen is a bit dated looking, but does have stainless steel appliances, a dishwasher, and a window.
The two bedrooms, which are next to each other, are similarly sized (about 9 feet by 8 feet).

The nicely-renovated bathroom has a window, and tub.
The building has a shared backyard (where you can cook), tiled mosaic floors in the lobby, and wrought iron doors. The co-op is pet-friendly, has a live-in super, laundry room, bike storage, and an additional storage room.
Popular greenspace Sunset Park is one block away, as is the nearest subway station — the N and R trains at 45th Street. Shopping and eating can be done along Fifth Avenue, the area hot spot Industry City is about 10 blocks away, and bowlers, you're in luck: Old-school alley Melody Lanes is also nearby.
