A Hunters Point studio complete with home office
Working from home (which more and more people are doing these days) can be tricky in most studios, but not in this $630,000 studio in Long Island City, Queens. The apartment has a separate room with a (small) window that could serve either as an office or a bedroom.
We think it's just a tad too small to be a bedroom, but looks perfect for a desk and a couple of bookshelves.

The 14th floor apartment also has all the high-end finishes we've come to know, and love, from new condos: There are floor-to-ceiling windows with double exposures, an open kitchen with stainless steel appliances, a dark stone countertop, and a built-in wine rack, as well as an in-unit washer and dryer.

The balcony offers skyline views, and a storage unit is included with the apartment. The building has a full-time doorman, media room, gym, bike storage and a furnished roof deck.
Buyers can also put 10 percent down instead of the usual 20 percent, and since there's a 15-year 421A tax abatement in place, taxes are just $45 a month.
