As far as studios with lofted beds go, this $2,950 co-op at 43 East 10th Street is equivalent to a Rolls Royce. Unlike some other lofted beds we've seen (and been shocked by), you can actually stand up in the sleeping area of this one (see below). Plus, you can fit a queen sized mattress, and there's a built-in shelf for bedside storage, and even more under the bed. Score!

The apartment's on the top floor of an elevator building, and it's got a skylight that keeps the space airy and bright.

We figure this roof deck would be a pretty nice place to sunbathe/sip pinot/hang with friends when the studio starts to feel slightly claustrophobic.

Plus, the kitchen -- while small -- has a window and is separate from the living area. Neither of those characteristics are common in such a small apartment (see why we're calling in the Rolls Royce of studios?).

The cast-iron building is pretty cool, too. It's also got an elevator, live-in super, video security (read: no doorman) and it's conveniently just a few blocks from the N.Q. R. 4. 5. 6 and L trains.

Note: The apartment's a co-op, which means you'll probably only be able to sign a two-year lease. But how much longer do you want to live in one room anyway?
