A Brooklyn two-bedroom with a one-bedroom price tag (so what if it's not trendy?)
Midwood, Brooklyn, isn't one of the trendiest neighborhoods in the borough, but it's family-friendly and, as this listing indicates, more affordable than hipper parts.
While the median sales price for a Brooklyn co-op is around $390,000, this true two-bedroom -- at 920 East 17th Street -- is asking $339,000 (with a monthly maintenance of $759).
It has a separate windowed kitchen, a living room, dining alcove, six closets, and one fully renovated bathroom. The second bedroom—though noticeably smaller than the master—has three windows.
The Q train's not too far—just two blocks away. And the building is on a tree-lined cul-de-sac. It's also pet-friendly, has 24-hour security, a doorman, porters, an on-site manager, and live-in super. There are new laundry facilities, storage space available, a bike room and a garage (with a short waiting list).
