Now that we're officially deep into summer, it's getting more difficult NOT to daydream about snagging a beach or country house far away from this steamy city—especially when you consider the price tags.
As always, we're amazed by how much space you can get when you leave the five boroughs. Today, we travel through the Hamptons, Jersey Shore and even up to Dutchess County to show you the kinds of vacation homes you can get for around $560,000, which, according to data cruncher Jonathan Miller of appraisal firm Miller Samuel, is the average price of a one-bedroom apartment in the County of Kings.
