Applications opened yesterday for rentals in a massive new affordable housing development in Brownsville, per NYC Housing Connect, with a total of 71 apartments available, and prices as low as $690/month.

Located at 1743-1765 Prospect Place, the rentals are part of the first phase of the Prospect Plaza development, described by its architects as "[transforming] a 4.5-acre scattered site into 364 units of new, affordable and public housing and supporting amenities." When the project is completed, it will include a "supermarket, community facility, a rooftop greenhouse, and a recreation area."
