Here's an opportunity to rent a Tremont, the Bronx apartment for as little as $822 a month
Applications are open for 255 apartments in a new, all "affordable" building in Tremont, the Bronx through the city housing lottery.
The apartments are studios and one, two, and three bedrooms at 4215 Park Ave., across the street from the Tremont Metro-North station. They are set aside for households in three income bands, spanning $30,069-$145,200, with rents starting at $822, for a studio.
The building is described as having security, a gym, a kids play area, rooftop "sun promenades," a computer lab, laundry, a courtyard, a lounge, and for additional fees, parking and bike storage.
Full income eligibility and rent details are here:
The building is close to Richman Park, or Echo Park as it's colloquially known because of a sound effect created by rocks there, and close to Tremont Park. The B and D stop at the Tremont Avenue station four blocks away.
If you are interested and think you might qualify for one of these apartments, you can create a profile and apply online via NYC Housing Connect. Don't apply more than once, or you could be disqualified.
Note: Brick Underground is in no way affiliated with New York City’s Department of Housing Preservation and Development or the Housing Development Corporation.
