Apply to rent in Murray Hill for as little as $565 a month
In case you missed the deadline to apply for affordable rentals in Frontier Murray Hill, you're in luck: Applications are now open for subsidized spots in another building in the area, this time the luxe new development One Sixty Madison.
64 affordable apartments will be available in the building, per the listing on NYC housing connect, with prices as low as $565 for a studio. There will also be $716/month studios available, as well as one-bedrooms for $600 or $769, and two-bedrooms for $700 or $900. Annual household income requirements range from $20,743 to $43,150 depending on apartment and family size. (The full set of requirements can be found in the listing.)
The developer has yet to release any prices or photos of the market-rate rentals, and the site notes that the "leasing gallery" will open up this summer, when the building is slated to be ready. (Applications for the affordable rentals are due by June 1st.) Per usual, preference for half of the affordable units will be given to current residents of the neighborhood, in this case Community Board 5, which encompasses a huge swath of midtown including Murray Hill, the Theater District, and Flatiron. Amenities include a 24-hour attended lobby and on-site laundry room, with access to the fitness center, lounge, and outdoor space available for additional fees. But don't expect to bring your cat along in the move: this is a no-pets building (at least for the subsidized renters).
